Financial Considerations of Green Buildings

This course will be in English. It is a required course for those seeking "Green Building Professional" accreditation.

This is a one day workshop to equip real estate developers and investors, valuers, financiers, facility managers, architects, engineers, project managers and other stakeholders with a better understanding of the ways in which sustainability affects the value, associated risk, and other financial considerations associated with a green building.

Course Objectives

  • How do nZEB/green projects differ from standard construction in terms of planning, budgeting, design, construction and operation?
  • What are examples of major variations in solutions chosen and costs incurred or avoided?
  • What tools are employed to price green performance appropriately
  • Green Mortgages, Construction & Renovation Loans, Property Tax Reductions, Hybrid Green Financing

Andrei Botiș RoGBC President / CEO, NAI Romania

Andrei supports the green building concept in Romania as president and research partner for the Romania Council for Green Buildings and other private and public institutions. He is an active member of ANEVAR - the Romanian association dedicated to improving the evaluation of buildings in the country. Andrei Botiș is responsible for the development of NAI Global in Romania and Moldova. He has been involved in valuation, brokerage and real estate investment in Romania since 2005. He is currently a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Great Britain.
